Dr. Yaw Perbi is a physician, pastor and president of International Student Ministries Canada, with some 100 staff and 500 volunteers from coast to coast in the second largest country on earth. He is the founder and Global CEO of The HuD Group with operations in fifteen countries spanning four continents.
As a medical doctor he has practiced medicine in both his home country, Ghana, and as a military captain with the United Nations Operation in Cote d’Ivoire. After a fatal, life-transforming road traffic accident there, he sense the Lord had spared his life for a purpose beyond Medicine and has since given himself fully to preaching the gospel, mobilizing missionaries and raising emerging leaders. For four years he served as the English pastor of a Chinese Alliance Church in Montreal, Canada.
Dr. Perbi’s 15 books include Amazon bestseller Thinking Outside the Window. He’s ministered in nearly 40 countries on five continents and has been the toast of media groups worldwide, including CNN, the National Press Club (Washington DC), VOA, CBC and BBC.
He is a John Maxwell-certified speaker/trainer and coach, Fellow of the Africa Leadership Initiative, a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network, a Lausanne Movement Catalyst (Senior Associate), serves on a number of strategic boards, including Jews for Jesus Canada, and is currently completing graduate studies in global leadership at Fuller Seminary in the USA.
Yaw resides in Montreal, Canada with his dear wife Anyele, an economist and entrepreneur, and six delightful home-schooled children: Agyina, Ashede, Adwenepa, Ahotew, Ahomka and Anuonyam. He owes all this to Christ Jesus.
At the CITAM Springboard Dr. Yaw Perbi will be laying the ground with God’s three-fold mission towards Himself (to bring Himself glory), towards people (to bring people a blessing) and against evil to establish His kingdom on earth forever. We will be inspired by God’s invitation to participate in His mission: missio Dei. Yaw will also bring real stories to illustrate how missions is no longer ‘from the West to the rest’ but rather how Africa, as the most Christian continent in the world today, is sending missionaries all over the world to proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel. He will challenge us to emulate these worthy examples of obedience to the Great Commission. Finally, since apart from Christ we can do nothing we will be encouraged and empowered to ensure that not only do we bear fruit but “fruit that will last” as we abide in Jesus and in his ministry to the Father through the Spirit for the sake of the church and the world.
